AccelerComm Ltd is a semiconductor IP company founded in 2016 as a spin-out of the University of Southampton by Professor Rob Maunder. It develops high-performance, error-resilient physical layer solutions for 5G Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) and channel coding technology, with work spanning LDPC coding, Polar coding, FPGA and ASIC design, and satellite communications. The company holds 56 international patents for 5G innovation and has raised a $15M funding round.

Its product portfolio comprises LDPC and Polar coding accelerator IP for 5G physical layer processing, together with a complete 5G NR NTN physical layer solution that is production-ready across FPGA, ASIC, and x86 platforms. The NTN portfolio supports up to 6Gbps throughput, 128 beams and 4,096 users per chipset, and delivers 10x more 5G data per watt than software solutions.

More than 200 satellites in production orbit are powered by AccelerComm IP, spanning LEO, MEO and GEO constellations. The company works alongside customers from design through deployment, and is used by NTN operators and aerospace primes across the satellite, aerospace, semiconductor IP and telecommunications sectors.
