Grafana Labs, founded in 2014, builds an open and composable observability platform that allows organisations to visualise, analyse and act on their data. The company combines open source tools with a fully managed cloud offering. Its software is used by more than 25m people, and the firm serves over 7,000 customers worldwide, reporting annual recurring revenue above $150m.

The product suite is built around the LGTM+ Stack, which unifies metrics, logs, traces and profiles. This comprises Grafana, an open source tool for data visualisation and dashboards of which millions have been created; Loki, for log aggregation; Mimir, a metrics database; and Tempo, for distributed tracing. Pyroscope covers continuous profiling. Grafana Cloud delivers the same capabilities as a managed service, scaling from small startups to Fortune 500 enterprises. Technical work spans observability, data visualisation, logging, metrics, distributed tracing, continuous profiling, AI-powered observability and cloud-hosted services.

Customers include Bloomberg, JPMorgan Chase, eBay, NVIDIA and Anthropic, with deployments in financial services, e-commerce, semiconductors, artificial intelligence and aerospace, among others. The company employs more than 1,400 people across over 40 countries and operates as a distributed workforce. It maintains a commitment to open source principles, runs the annual GrafanaCON and ObservabilityCON conferences, and has grown from a personal project into a global ecosystem.
