IMU Biosciences

IMU Biosciences is a biotechnology company based in London that applies artificial intelligence to systems-level immune profiling. Its stated aim is to decode the immune system in order to understand, diagnose and treat disease, and to become the universal standard for immune measurement. The company was founded on research carried out at King's College London and the Francis Crick Institute, and it partners with pharmaceutical and biotech firms.

Its core product is the HD Immunology platform, a multi-omic system that pairs massively scalable immune phenotyping with proprietary real-time AI analytics. From 2ml of blood the platform measures over 100 million immune data points and resolves 2,500 discrete immune cell subsets in real time, producing immune insights intended for use at clinical scale. Alongside the platform sits what the company describes as the world's largest immune dataset: more than 25,000 deeply characterised samples spanning health and disease.

The technology is aimed at applications across immuno-oncology, haematopoietic stem cell transplantation, solid organ transplantation, immune-mediated diseases, precision medicine and clinical diagnostics. Technical work sits at the intersection of immunology, multi-omic measurement and machine learning, with an emphasis on real-time analytics over very high-dimensional biological data.
