Moniepoint Inc. is an African financial technology company that operates an all-in-one ecosystem spanning payments, banking, credit and business management software. Founded in 2015 and formerly known as TeamApt, the company serves millions of businesses and individuals across Africa, with its heaviest concentration in Nigeria. Its technical work covers payments infrastructure, digital banking, lending technology, business management tools and point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Scale is central to the engineering proposition. Moniepoint is Nigeria's largest merchant acquirer and powers the majority of the country's POS transactions. Through its subsidiaries it processes $17bn-22bn in monthly transaction volume, and its microfinance bank, Moniepoint MFB, regulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria, holds over 10m business and individual accounts. The company reports that it is operating profitably at this scale.

The company raised $110m in a Series C round led by Google's Africa Investment Fund and Development Partners International, reaching unicorn status in the process. It was named Africa's fastest-growing fintech in 2023 and 2024 by the Financial Times and Statista. Its stated mission is to create financial happiness for every African, everywhere, with an emphasis on building reliable products that customers use daily to run their businesses and move money.

Products include payment processing, banking services, credit for businesses and individuals, and tools for managing business operations and money. The company operates across Africa and other emerging markets, with a focus on small and medium business services.
