Neko Health

Neko Health is a Swedish health-tech company founded in 2018 and based in Stockholm. It develops full-body scanning technology for preventive healthcare and early disease detection, combining medical imaging with large-scale health data capture. Its flagship product, Neko Body Scan, maps millions of data points across skin, heart, circulation, tissue and blood in minutes, returning insights on cardiovascular health, metabolic indicators, inflammation levels, detailed skin mapping and eye health, alongside an unrushed doctor consultation. The technical scope spans skin mapping and dermatology imaging, cardiovascular diagnostics, metabolic health analytics, blood and circulation analysis, and preventive health diagnostics.

The company employs more than 500 people and reports over 10,000 scans completed since launch, with a global waitlist exceeding 300,000 people and no paid marketing spend. Around 1% of patients are identified with serious, potentially life-threatening conditions; roughly 7% discover significant health issues requiring attention. Member rebooking stands at 80%, and a substantial portion of members pay a year in advance. Neko Health was co-founded by Spotify founder Daniel Ek and Swedish entrepreneur Hjalmar Nilsonne, and has raised a €260m round at a valuation of $1.8bn.

Operations run from clinics in Stockholm, London, Manchester and Birmingham, with expansion to New York City planned for 2026. The company's stated direction is a shift in healthcare from reactive treatment toward proactive prevention, with an emphasis on patient-centric consultations and ambitions to become one of the defining healthcare companies of its generation.
