Pektron

Pektron is a family-run engineering firm and one of the world's largest privately owned electronics manufacturers. Founded in 1964 by George Morgan with a £100 loan in Little Eaton, near Derby, the company operates as a full-service Tier 1 supplier, providing electronics design, development and manufacturing under one roof. It remains privately owned more than 60 years after its founding.

The business employs nearly 300 people, including an engineering team of roughly 60 professionals, and operates from a seven-acre technology campus in Derby, with a sales and technical office in Detroit, Michigan. It serves customers across multiple continents. Its technical scope spans advanced electronics design and development, precision injection moulded plastics, testing and validation services, design for manufacture, bespoke electronics solutions and build-to-print contract manufacturing. An independently assessed testing laboratory is working towards the ISO/IEC 17025 standard.

Products range across several industrial markets: security electronics for electric vehicles, grain flow monitors fitted to tractors and instrument clusters for performance supercars. Sectors served include automotive, agriculture, safety, HVAC, construction and consumer electronics.

Pektron holds the Queen's Award for International Trade (2017) and maintains ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 certifications. The company describes itself as built on family values, with an emphasis on innovative engineering and on products designed to perform in the toughest environments.
