Founded in 2019 by technology veterans Romain Niccoli and Eleonore Crespo - who started the company out of firsthand frustration with legacy planning tools - Pigment builds software used by finance, sales and HR teams to plan, make decisions and adapt to change in real time. The company's technical work spans AI/ML, enterprise performance management (EPM), FP&A, data integration, scenario modeling and real-time analytics.

Its product, the Pigment Platform, is designed to handle enterprise complexity while remaining intuitive to use, a combination the company describes as central to its engineering philosophy. Pigment was named a Visionary in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant. The platform is used by enterprise customers including Unilever, Siemens, Snowflake, Fivetran, ServiceNow, Gong, Carta, Figma and Anthropic, across verticals such as consumer packaged goods, industrial manufacturing and enterprise software.
