CGG Services (U.S.) Inc. is part of Viridien, an advanced technology, digital and Earth data company that combines earth science, data science and sensor technologies to address natural resource, energy transition, digital and infrastructure challenges. The company rebranded from CGG to Viridien in June 2024, building on more than 90 years of history under the CGG name. Technical work spans geoscience, Earth data, sensing and monitoring, and High-Performance Computing (HPC).

The business is organised around three areas: Geoscience, providing expertise and services for natural resource, energy transition and infrastructure problems; Earth Data, focused on differentiated Earth data assets and services; and Sensing & Monitoring, applying sensor technologies to infrastructure, environmental and marine monitoring. The company is undergoing a strategic transformation towards asset-light, highly differentiated businesses, having divested data acquisition activities to concentrate on its core areas.
