Northern Data AG (Northern Data Group) builds and operates full-stack infrastructure for sovereign AI and high-performance computing. The company combines data centre capabilities with a software layer, delivering an end-to-end technology stack that spans high-density facilities, GPU computing and cloud platform engineering, with infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) for demanding AI and HPC workloads.

Two businesses anchor the group. Taiga Cloud is a European sovereign AI cloud platform providing flexible, scalable infrastructure-as-a-service and is noted as hosting one of the largest GPU clusters in Europe. Ardent Data Centers operates data centre environments optimised for AI-era workloads, built around liquid-cooled, GPU-based technology. Engineering work spans high-performance computing, sovereign AI infrastructure, liquid-cooled GPU technology, high-density data centre design and cloud platform engineering.

Scale is material: 24,000 GPUs in strategic locations, 10 infrastructure locations globally and 250 MW of IT load capacity, with approximately 250 MW of power deployed or coming online across eight global data centres by 2027. The company operates across Europe and worldwide, serving the AI, HPC, cloud infrastructure and data centre sectors.

The operating model is integrated, combining data centres and software within a single stack. Stated priorities include performance and efficiency, maximum utilisation and power delivery for advanced compute, and engineering-backed deployment and support across the AI journey.
