Runware

Runware operates an AI inference platform that gives developers and businesses a single API for thousands of generative AI models spanning image, video, audio, 3D and language modalities. The platform supports both open-source models such as FLUX and Stable Diffusion and frontier closed-source models from major providers, allowing media generation to be integrated into products with one API call and no infrastructure management or capacity planning. To date it has served more than 300 million end users and processed over 10 billion API requests.

The company is vertically integrated, designing and operating its own GPU hardware infrastructure rather than relying on third-party cloud capacity. Its proprietary Sonic Inference Engine is a custom hardware and software stack built specifically for AI inference, and is claimed to deliver up to 10x lower cost per generation than market rates. Runware also builds Sonic Pods: modular AI inference data centres of its own design, optimised for performance and cost efficiency.

Founded in 2023, Runware is headquartered in London and serves enterprises globally. It holds SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certification and is GDPR compliant, with an stated emphasis on security and data privacy standards. Technical work spans AI inference, multi-modal generative models, hardware/software co-design, GPU infrastructure, data centre design and API platform engineering.
