Solve Intelligence builds a generative-AI platform for the patent industry, applying large language models and specialised AI models trained specifically for patent work. The product covers the end-to-end patent lifecycle: invention harvesting, application drafting, prosecution, office action responses and claim charting for litigation. At its centre is an in-browser, Google Docs-like collaborative document editor in which the AI operates.

Founded in 2023 by a team combining AI PhDs and patent attorneys, the company reports customer efficiency gains of 50-90% and an 85% acceptance rate for its AI recommendations. Its technical stack spans generative AI, natural language processing, specialised model training and real-time document editing. The platform is used by more than 400 IP teams across six continents, with named customers including law firms DLA Piper, Faegre Drinker and Perkins Coie, and enterprise IP teams at Intel and Amgen.

The company has raised $55m in total funding, with investors including Y Combinator, Microsoft's M12 and Insight Partners. It operates in a global patent industry worth over $100 billion, serving law firms, enterprise legal departments and clients across technology, pharmaceuticals and biotech.
