Affinidi is a Singapore-based technology company, founded in 2020, building privacy-first infrastructure and open standards for decentralized digital identity and data ownership. Its work spans verifiable credentials, decentralized identifiers (DIDs), user-controlled credential storage and privacy-preserving cryptography, with the aim of enabling secure data exchange between individuals, businesses, systems and AI agents. The company commits to open standards interoperability, including W3C Verifiable Credentials, DIDComm v2.1 and OID4VCI/VP.
Two products anchor the platform. Affinidi Vault provides user-controlled credential storage, giving individuals ownership of their data. The Internet of Trust ecosystem supplies tools for issuing, holding and verifying trusted data across people, organisations and AI agents - a domain the company terms AI agent identity and trust.
Operations are organised around three hubs: Singapore, Bangalore and Berlin, supporting a cross-border working model. The company holds ISO 27001 certification for enterprise-grade security and targets regulated industries and cross-border data exchange. Affinidi's stated mission is "changing data ownership for good", and it was backed and founded by Temasek.
